Selection Process – India Post Staff Recruitment 2026
Selection will be based on a two-stage examination comprising a theory test and a practical test assessing motor mechanism and driving ability.
Stage I – Theory Examination: Objective questions covering General Knowledge, Reasoning, Arithmetic, Road Sense, Traffic Rules and Vehicle Maintenance.
Stage II – Practical Test: Assessment of motor mechanism knowledge and light/heavy vehicle driving skills.
Final Merit: Prepared from the total marks obtained in both stages, subject to the prescribed qualifying standards.
Only candidates who qualify in Stage I will be eligible to appear in Stage II.
